Department Features
The Department is Taiwan’s only Department of Political Economy. It emphasizes interdisciplinary, integrated training in political science, economics, and political economy within the social sciences. Students take required courses in political science, economics, and political economy, supplemented by cross-disciplinary training in fields such as management and sociology, to strengthen their understanding of the overall political-economic system and institutional operations of the state and society.
The Department also provides opportunities for internship training in relevant political-economic organizations, with the aim of cultivating students’ civic spirit and teamwork skills.
