1. 28 required credits in General Education courses, excluding four credits in Sports and Health. 2. Students taking General Education courses must follow the credit-selection requirements and instructions in the University's General Education Curriculum Framework. For all course requirements, see the Siwan College homepage / Regulations & Forms / Student Area / Regulations for Current Students. 3. Students admitted with equivalent academic qualifications after graduating from an overseas school, or a comparable school in Hong Kong or Macao, at the level equivalent to the second year of domestic senior secondary school must complete 12 additional Department graduation credits. 4. Coursework must primarily consist of required courses offered by the Department; courses from other departments may not waive Department requirements. 5. Double-major students seeking to waive a Department requirement with a course from another department may apply to the Department office during the two weeks before final examinations. The Department will review the application, and a waiver is available only after approval. 6. Students admitted from Academic Year 112 onward must complete at least 27 Department elective credits; Social Science Research Methods and Data Analysis and Processing—Applications of R are required electives, and one must be selected. Students admitted before Academic Year 112 must complete at least 21 Department elective credits; Social Science Research Methods and Data Analysis and Applications—Applications of R are required electives. These rules do not apply to double-major students. 7. Minor and double-major students should enroll directly; final enrollment is subject to University rules and classroom capacity. Double-major students, or students on exchange abroad, who wish to add the Political Economy Practicum Project course must contact the Department office after the preceding semester's midterm examination. 8. Required courses Microeconomics (I) and (II) are planned to be taught in English for students admitted in Academic Years 112, 114, and 115. Political Economy (II) is planned to be taught in English for students admitted in Academic Year 115. |
