Digital EMI Course-Level Certificates for Undergraduate Students Graduating in Academic Year 113, Semester 2
Basis: Implemented in accordance with the Ministry of Education's Bilingual Learning Program for College Students.
Announcement:
1. Under the Ministry of Education's Bilingual Learning Program for College Students, undergraduate students may receive an “EMI Course-Level Certificate” upon graduation according to the number of EMI-course credits completed. See Attachment 1 for the criteria for each level.
2. Beginning in Academic Year 113, Semester 2 (2025), the University is piloting digital “EMI Course-Level Certificates” for download by undergraduate students graduating in the current semester (113-2).
3. For the definition of EMI courses, please refer to the Ministry of Education's Bilingual Learning Program for College Students webpage (https://best.twaea.org.tw/qna2.html). The University's definition of EMI courses is as follows:
(1) Courses taught in English, excluding language courses such as Japanese and Russian, General Education English, and intercollege EAP/ESP courses.
(2) All discipline-specific courses in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature fall within the University's EMI-course scope.
4. Download period: From July 4, 2025 (ROC 114), until one year after the student leaves the University. Certificate files are retained only for one year after departure. Applications made after that period must be handled in person at the Center for Teaching and Learning Development and Resources, Office of Academic Affairs.
