Ministry of Education International Cultivation Program for Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Talent, ROC Year 116 (2027)

  • To foster foundational-research talent in the humanities and social sciences, the Ministry of Education has issued the “Selection Guidelines for the Ministry of Education International Cultivation Program for Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Talent” (Attachment 2) under its Implementation Guidelines for Subsidizing International Cultivation of Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Talent (Attachment 1). By sending outstanding students to study at internationally renowned universities, the program expands opportunities to participate in international academic communities, broadens global perspectives, advances academic careers, and deepens research related to Taiwan’s culture and society, thereby strengthening future international competitiveness and distinctive strengths.
  • Applications are open September 20–October 20, 2026. Applicants must complete the online application and submit materials within the deadline and in accordance with the selection guidelines. Each institution must nominate at least 5 students. Nominations will count toward the performance of the main Higher Education Sprout Project and will also be considered in allocating funding for the ROC 116 (2027) international chapter.
  • The program will hold a results presentation for returning students and an annual call-for-proposals briefing at a later date. Students are encouraged to register.
